ICF | Grant/Scholarship Funds
 

Community Endowment Grants
Grant applications for charitable community projects are reviewed by the Fund Advisory Committee. Grants awarded from the Hunt Challenge endowment funds are restricted to investing in people rather than bricks and mortor. Grant recipients should encourage leadership development, educational opportunities, youth programs, economic development and attracting people to the community.

Kermit Karns has a strong belief in "giving back".  He first established a health care scholarship for nurses planning to provide medical service in Chase County in memory of his wife, Lottie. To date, he has established lasting endowments for:

Chase County Health Care Grant
Chase County Continuing Education Grant
Chase County Historical Society
Chase County Genealogy Chair
Imperial Lied Library
Champion Community Center

Nancy and Bill Weir Freedoms Foundation Endowment
Annual interest will benefit the Chase County Freedoms Foundation chapter for youth scholarships as well as other youth activities determined by the ICF advisory board. The donors have specified that in 2016, ICF will have the option of spending the pricinipal or continuing to grant just the interest in order to benefit Chase County youth.
